“The architectural firm offered a way of working that would result in a comprehensive professional intervention in order to achieve better prices and quality: The Project + Direction of Handiwork + Provider Management + Decoration. Climate Control: The client was assured that between November and March the sun would come up to the breakfast area, reach the reading chairs at midday, would impact on the shower first thing in the morning and warm the floor playroom children after breakfast. Much of the design is guided by the imperative to save energy: The closings and coverings employed have low transmittance, and the large glass windows with low emissive materials oriented toward the South, permit the home to remain warm at night with the sun obtained during the day. The motorized awnings control excessive overheating caused by solar radiation and eliminate the need for a porch, assuming a cost savings that has served to significantly increase the thermal insulation of the house.”
